Gokyo Lakes & Gokyo Ri: Sapphire Glacial Wilderness
Trek past Namche Bazaar into the pristine Gokyo Valley to discover six turquoise glacial lakes beneath Cho Oyu, and summit Gokyo Ri (5,357m) for 360° views of Everest.

The Expedition Experience
The Gokyo Valley is celebrated as the most scenic trekking route in the Everest region, offering an intimate alternative to the busy classic EBC trail. Walk alongside rushing glacial rivers, through fragrant juniper and rhododendron forests, to the six sacred turquoise lakes of Gokyo. Climb Gokyo Ri at dawn to witness four of the world's 14 eight-thousanders (Everest, Lhotse, Makalu, and Cho Oyu) rising above the longest glacier in the Himalayas.

“Gokyo Ri at sunrise was the most spiritual moment of our lives”
Standing on top of Gokyo Ri watching the sun hit Everest, Lhotse, and Cho Oyu while the sapphire lakes glowed below was beyond words. Our Sherpa guide Dawa monitored our oxygen levels every morning and evening. The lodges had hot water bottles for our beds. Unbeatable experience.
